The photography offered at OPEN DOOR STUDIO is a joint effort that includes Barry’s lengthy experience and Joel’s creative instincts. In collaboration with our subjects and partners, the approach is one of carefully planned, innovative images.

While we appreciate the family portraits on the beach, the senior pictures and toddler shots, that is not what we are offering (although if you have need for that, we’d love to direct you to some great friends with those amazing abilities). That said, we will help construct photographs ranging from tabletop product to lifestyle advertising to impactful sports shots to individual portraiture.

The process here includes these key words: CONCEPT, COMMUNICATE, EXPLORE, ASSEMBLE, CAPTURE. Utilizing state of the art digital equipment either on location or in our studio, we will partner with you to accomplish your photography vision.

p.s. Just because Barry has photographed Michael Jordan and Cindy Crawford doesn’t mean we are out of your price range. Go read our “MOTIVATION” if you haven’t yet and you’ll see that we want to use our art to make interesting stuff and to work with like-minded people. We actually do this because we love it.

Carloyn Kazen-Elz brings her styling expertise to OPEN DOOR STUDIO for figurative shoots — especially portrait work. Carolyn has 25 years experience on the international stage as a fashion model, appearing in Vogue and Town and Country (among others). Her experience in front of the camera allows her to coach our subjects and catch important visual details to help bring these shoots to the highest level possible.
