Motivation

Our motivation is to use our God given gifts to work uniquely and collaboratively on artistic endeavors that bring joy to the world.

OPEN DOOR STUDIO creates art through various media using the specific talents of prolific artists Barry Elz and Joel Schoon-Tanis.  OPEN DOOR STUDIO both generates its own work and collaborates with like-minded partners – individuals and organizations.  In other words, we are motivated to make stuff – and we’d like to make stuff either for you or with you.

Finally, our motivation is to serve others.  This could mean showing art that reveals the beauty of creation.  This could play out by creating stories in different media that help kids and families grow.  This will often take the form of partnering with organizations so that our art can benefit their cause.

We hope to welcome others through the open door.
